Consent-clean capture, from the job site to the license.
Trades Data AI records real trade work with the informed, written consent of the people doing it. This page summarizes how that data is collected, protected, and licensed. The governing documents are the signed agreements themselves — workers and partners always receive their own copies.
Consent comes first
Every worker who records with Trades Data AI signs a Tradesperson Capture Agreement before any footage is collected. The agreement names exactly what is captured (helmet video, motion sensors, phone telemetry), who can license it, and how the worker is paid.
Audio is only ever recorded with explicit consent. In two-party consent states such as California, audio capture is suppressed at the device level and any delivered dataset marks audio as withheld for consent reasons rather than shipping it.
Faces and bystanders
Faces of bystanders and third parties are blurred in every frame of buyer-facing footage. Clips that cannot meet the redaction bar are rejected from publication rather than shipped with exposure.
Job-site capture also requires site-level authorization: companies sign site waivers covering where and when recording is permitted.
What buyers receive
Buyers license the recorded work evidence and its audited annotation ledger. Every published field carries a truth state and provenance; raw footage is only delivered under a signed license, never by public download.
Worker identity is not the product. Datasets identify workers by pseudonymous IDs; contact details and agreements stay with us.
Worker control and payment
Workers see the clips attributed to them from their dashboard, participate in paid review sessions, and are compensated for both capture and corrections.
A worker can request removal of un-delivered footage at any time by contacting us; agreements spell out how already-licensed data is handled.
Storage and access
Capture data is uploaded over authenticated, encrypted connections to access-controlled object storage. Internal access is limited to processing and audit; there is no ad-network sharing, no data brokerage, and no resale outside the signed license terms.
